Your capital deserves a plan, not a product.
Most people build wealth for years and then invest it in whatever is on offer that month. We start from the other end: your goals, your time horizon, and how much fluctuation you can live with. Only then do we build the portfolio.
Every portfolio starts with your profile: goals, horizon and the risk you can accept. From there we build it in the way that fits you best:
- Platan strategies — a mix of our ready strategies, weighted to your profile.
- Your own strategy — designed for you alone when your needs call for it.
Either way you get a named portfolio manager, plain-language reports, and fees agreed in writing before you invest. Depending on the amount and your profile, public or non-public investment funds may also be used to serve you.
Idle cash is also a decision.
Payroll buffers, tax reserves, dividend funds, the proceeds of a sale. Many companies leave these on current accounts by default, without a policy for how much must stay available and when.
We help your finance team split liquidity by when you will need it, and place the part you will not need tomorrow in high-quality government and corporate bonds, in AMD and USD.
You set the rules in a written liquidity policy; we manage within them and report monthly. Currency conversion is handled in the same place.
How we work: the Platan way
Understand first
Every relationship starts with a structured conversation: your goals, horizon, liquidity needs and the losses you could accept. We write this down and agree it with you before a single trade.
Discipline over prediction
Decisions follow a written investment process, with risk limits, diversification rules and regular reviews. We do not try to guess next week's market, and we do not chase trends.
Measured, controlled growth
Our aim is growth that can be measured and controlled, not growth at any risk. You see what you own, what it costs and how it performs, in clear reports.
What we do
"After more than 20 years in banking and investments, I founded Platan Capital Management to do one thing well: manage clients' money the way I manage my own — patiently, transparently and with risk in front of mind."
